Two Comings

Some individuals will make similar statements such as: Jesus never referred to two comings; He only mentioned one return; and that the same word that is used in Matthew 24: 3, 27 to describe Jesus' coming (the Revelation/Second Coming) is the one that describes His coming in the Rapture (I Thes. 4: 15). There are a lot of other things that individuals also state. Thus, they build a lot of theories based upon those interpretations. Well, okay, maybe Jesus did not refer to His coming in the Rapture, or, at least, not directly, but Jesus never referred to Christians being "caught up" either (I Thes. 4: 17). So, what does that matter? The Bible still teaches that the Christians will be caught up (taken up), raptured. It was His Spirit that guided and guarded the writers of the Bible to write the things that they did concerning that event (the Rapture), which means to be caught up (I Thes. 4: 16 - 17). I believe Jesus did talk about the Rapture, even though He did not tell us that there were going to be two comings. (Read Matt. 24: 32 - 44, 25: 1 - 13, Luke 17: 34 - 36.).
