The Day (day) of the Lord

It is my belief that there are many Days/days of the Lord taught (referred to) in the Bible. Here are some of those Days/days of the Lord:
  1. Isaiah 13: 1 - 22: It talks about the destruction of Babylon. It also mentions Mede. Mede/Persia invaded Babylon. Pay special attention to verses 1, 6, 9, 13, 17, 19, and 20.
  2. Joel 1: 1 - 20, and 2: 1 - 11 (Read Joel 1: 4, 15 and 2: 11, 20, 25.): This is a vast invasion of the northern army of locusts, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar. Joel 2: 12 - 27 has to do with God healing the land, and so forth.
  3. Joel 3 and Zechariah 14 are the same prophecy concerning The War Against Jerusalem, which also tells us about the Lord's return. Jesus will destroy all the enemy soldiers, who invaded Jerusalem, when He comes back to earth. This happens in Revelation 19: 11 and 21. (See also Rev. 14: 17 - 19, and 20.).
  4. Ezekiel 30: 1 - 5, 6 - 10 - 19, and 20 - 26: This is Ethiopia and Egypt. The Scripture mentions Ethiopia, Libya, and Chub. It also talks about Egypt, and many of its towns/cities. Nebuchadrezzar's invading armies of Babylon destroy them. (Read Ezek. 30: 2, 4, 10, 19.).
  5. Obadiah 1: 1 - 21: It has to do with Edom's destruction, and its desolation (after 587 B.C.).
  6. Zephaniah 1: 1 - 18 (Read Zeph. 1: 7 - 8, 14 - 15, 18.): It is a prophecy concerning Judah and Jerusalem. Zephaniah 2: 3 also talks about "...in the day of the Lord's anger.", which is probably the same type of judgment as the day of the Lord. (See also Zeph. 1: 7 - 8, 14 - 15, 18, "...in the day of the Lord's wrath...".).
  7. I Thessalonians 5: 1 - 11, 18: This day of the Lord is different than all other Days/days of the Lord. It is not a judgment from the Lord. But, instead, the day of the Lord (in this case), is the appearing of Christ, in the Rapture. It is the same as "the day of Christ" which we see in II Thessalonians 2: 1 - 2, Philippians 1: 6, 10, 2: 16.
  8. I Peter 3: 1 - 14: This is the destruction of the heaven(s) and the earth. (Pay special attention to II Peter 3: 7, and Revelation 20: 11, 12 - 15.). God (Jesus) will create new heavens and a new earth, after the old ones are destroyed. (Read II Peter 3: 12, Rev. 21: 1.).
