Seated Round About the Throne

I believe that Revelation 3: 21 is a key verse (one of the clues) for understanding who the four and twenty elders are and how they are seated round about the throne of God.

It says,
"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne." (Rev. 3: 21) (Read also Rev. 3: 19 - 20.).

That is what those elders in Revelation 4: 4 are doing. They are seated round about the throne. It is not necessarily referring to 24 individuals. But even if it were, they would still be part of the Church, and that number would also have to represent the whole Church, the Bride of Christ, the Body of Christ, and not just 24 individuals alone. I say that because those elders are wearing their crowns on their heads in Revelation 4: 4, which are given to the saints as rewards shortly after they arrive in Heaven. They will have just received them at the Judgment Seat of Christ, which takes place between Revelation 4: 1 and 4: 4 shortly after the Rapture happens in Revelation 4: 1. (See also I Pet. 5: 4, II Tim. 4: 7 - 8, I Thes. 4: 16 - 17, Rev. 22: 12.).
