The Crowns of Rewards

Now that we know who the four and twenty elders are, let's take a look at this question. What are these crowns that the four and twenty elders had on their heads? Keep in mind that Revelation 4: 1 through to the end of the book is still in the future. John saw those crowns on their heads, but this event has not yet taken place. He saw those things in a vision (Rev. 1: 1, 3, 22: 8). The Church in Heaven, the 7 seals, the 7 trumpet judgments, 7 vial (bowl) judgments, etc - That, and a whole lot more, are still future events. So, make sure you remember that. Here is another reason why I believe the Church is in Heaven in Revelation 4: 1. In Revelation 4: 4 (See also Rev. 3: 21.) the Christians get their crowns of rewards, and here's why I believe that.

Paul says in II Timothy 4: 8,
"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord (Jesus), the righteous judge, shall give me at (on) that day (the day of His appearing): and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing."

What day is that? That's the day when the Lord appears in the sky for those who love Him. This is the Rapture of the Church. So, on that day, when the Rapture happens, the righteous judge, Jesus Christ, will appear (come) in the sky for those who love Him. And that's the Christians, the Bride of Christ. When Jesus appears, in the Rapture, He will give Paul a crown, but not only will He give Paul a crown at the Judgment Seat of Christ, (the first event that takes place in Heaven when we arrive), He will also give a crown to all those who love His appearing.

Now, Peter wrote something about those crowns, and the time when we get them.

I Peter 5: 4 says,
"And when the chief Shepherd (Jesus) shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." (Read also I Pet. 1: 7, I Cor. 3: 11 - 15, Rev. 22: 12.).

So, when Jesus Christ (the chief Shepherd) appears in the Rapture, He will give the four and twenty elders, the Christians, the Bride of Christ, a crown of glory and a crown of righteousness. On that day, when Jesus comes for His Church they will get their crowns of rewards. That's what I believe these crowns are. The Christians will get those crowns right after He comes for them in the Rapture (Rev. 4: 1) at the Judgment Seat of Christ (II Cor. 5: 10), which happens between Revelation 4: 1 and 4: 4. They have those crowns on their heads by the time Revelation 4: 4 takes place. The crowns that the four and twenty elders had on their heads were crowns of rewards (Rev. 4: 4). I'm saying that the Church (Christians) are in Heaven in chapters 4 and 5 of Revelation. The Church, the Christians, receive their crowns of rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ (II Cor. 5: 10) shortly after the Rapture, which takes place in Revelation 4: 1, and they have those crowns on their heads in Revelation 4: 4.
