The Bride of Christ, the Wedding, and the Marriage Supper

If you happen to think that the Bride of Christ, the Body of Christ, has to be all believers of all times (Ages), including the Old Testament saints, the New Testament saints, the tribulation saints, including those who will be martyrs, and those who are saved during the millennial reign of Christ, then a real problem is created. Some people believe that all of these groups of believers cannot be excluded from being part of the Church, the Body of Christ. As you will see this is not the case either. The Bride of Christ will be wedded (married) to Jesus Christ in Heaven right before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. The wedding and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will take place in Heaven before the Revelation/Second Coming does. Therefore, the millennial saints cannot possibly be part of "the Bride of Christ", which is called the Church, the Body of Christ. It is true that there is a universal church which includes all believers of all Ages. They are redeemed by Jesus' blood, and are not any better than we, and we are not any better than they. However, there is a special group of believers (Christians) who are called the Bride of Christ (Rev. 19: l - 9, 21: 9, 22: 17), the Body of Christ, the four and twenty elders (Rev. 4: 4, 5: 8-10), which are the New Testament saints. They are the Church. The Church, the Bride of Christ, will be wedded (married) to Jesus before the coming of the Lord in the Revelation/Second Coming. (See Rev. 19: 11, Acts 1: 11, Zech. 14: 4 - 5.). This marriage is a mystery to us, but I believe one day we will understand it. (Read I John 3: 2, I Cor. 13: 12, II Cor. 4: 18, 5: 8.). This wedding, and the marriage supper, will take place in Heaven in Revelation 19: 7 - 9. The Revelation/Second Coming will happen after those two events, the wedding, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Those saints who will he saved during the 1,000 year reign of Christ cannot take part in those two events, and they cannot be part of the Bride of Christ. The saints who live during the millennial reign will not be married to Christ, and they will not eat at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19: 7 -9. So, if the millennial saints are not part of the Bride of Christ then it is also possible that the Old Testament saints, and the tribulation saints, including those who will be killed (martyred) during the tribulation, are not a part of the Church, the Bride of Christ, either. These Old Testament saints will get their rewards (Rev. 11: 18) at a different time then the Church does (Rev. 4: 1 - 4). They are resurrected at a different time than the Church. (See Rev. 11: 18, " ... the time of the dead, that they should be judged ... give rewards unto ... the prophets, and to the saints, ... ". This has nothing to do with the Church, but, instead, it refers to the Old Testament saints and prophets. And this has nothing to do with the tribulation martyrs being resurrected either because they will be resurrected and go to Heaven, in Revelation 7:9-17. They, the tribulation martyrs, may get their rewards in Revelation 11: 18, but that will be all.) Even though the Old Testament saints, the tribulation saints, including those who will be martyred, and the saints who live during the millennial reign are a part of the universal church, and are redeemed by Jesus' blood, they will not be married to Christ.

The tribulation saints, who will become a part of the millennial saints, that did not die during the tribulation period, or through the 30 and 45 days that Daniel 12: 11 and 12 mention, will not eat at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19:7-9. Nor will the millennial saints who are born during the 1,000 year reign of Christ. I believe that the Church, the Bride of Christ who were saved since the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-8) to the Rapture, as the Scriptures teach, participates in the wedding before the Second Coming takes place, and before the millennial reign starts.

They will be wedded to Jesus and will eat in Heaven at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. (See also "Who is the Church?".)
